26 D-806 TYPE IV-D DANISH DAGGER made from heat treated Burlington chert. I don't know why I tried to make a dagger out of such a crappy piece of Burlington with soft spots, rash of crinoid fossils, and a crystal pocket that went all the way through the blade in the shoulder area! Just plain meaner than the rock I guess. As it turned out this is a pretty nice medium size dagger with a lot of character.  Shown both sides, the handle is stitched on one face with rounded back side. The center seam is of the medium, single pass style, and side stitching is good to match. Note the crystal pocket on back side near the shoulder. This may be a void left by a shell fossil. The blade is mostly percussion flaked with a good deal of pressure edge finish showing on the front. I had 7 hours in this dagger and used a lot of tricks to make it the piece that it is. Size, 6 3/4 inches. Price, $250.
