19-575 LARGE CLOVIS POINT made from heat treated Harvester chert. This incredible point was fluted 4 times on both faces! Multiple fluting, side-by-sides, and those running over each other, are common traits of Late Period Eastern Clovis points. The last channel pushed off of the reverse face of this piece dove into a hump and nealy reversed. This would have broken the blade! Two such points are featured in my Master Knappers Guide to the Fluted Point Traditions of  North America, Figures 57 and 85. Made from a distinctly banded ball chert from east-central Missouri, this is an authentic and beautiful example of what has also become known as a St Louis Clovis knife. Length, 4 3/8 inches. Price, $95. RESERVED!
