21-421 HOLLAND POINT made from heat treated Burlington chert. The Holland type was named after Warren Holland who found a cache of 13 points near Mount Pleasant, Iowa. These well made points share both Dalton and stemmed lanceolate characteristics with some having more percussion work showing. Also, they may have basal ears like some eared lanceolates. This one is on the lower end of the size range, but for the money, is still a fairly good example. Length, 3 5/8 inches. Price, $25.
