25-76 GYPSUM CONTRACTING STEM POINT made from mahogany obsidian. I can't remember where this material came from, but the brown steaks have an unusual coppery sheen when held in the right light. Gypsum points were named after those found in Gypsum Cave in the southern Great Basin. Some were made of obsidian. This is a big one for the type, with outstanding flaking a color! Length. 3 5/16 inches. Price $20.
