19-63 TRIANGULAR ARROW POINT made from unheated jasper from the Powers II Site, Sunrise Iron Ore Mine, Platte County, Wyoming. This site is on private land and to my knowledge no modern knapper has ever touched this material until I was sent samples for evaluation. The written report and resulting collection of replica Western Palio points made from the agates, jaspers, chalcedonies and cherts was sent back to the owner and the University of Wyoming, leaving me with a limited number of usable chips from one of which this small arrow point was made. Keep in mind this little point took as long to make as ones three times its size! Length, 1 3/16 inches. Price. $8.
