25-410 COSSATOT RIVER LOBE BASE POINT Made from heat treated Arkansas Novaculite. This point was made from a small piece of rare black Novaculite that could almost pass for Coshocton, Ohio chert. It has a white streak along one edge. The Cossatot River point, a kin to other lobe base points, was named after a notorious white water stream that flows out of the Ouachita Mountains in west-central Arkansas. The rapids were so bad that the Indians didn't try it in their dugouts. The name translates to "Skull Crusher" or "Bone Crusher". Only crazy white men love to float it in thier kayaks! Length, 2 5/16 inches. Price, $10.
