About Late Period Points
The period is from 1,000 AD to Historic. This category contains mostly small arrow points and the occasional large ceremonial blades produced by the Mississippian Culture or what has also been called the Temple Mound Culture. These people lived in large towns surrounding temple mound complexes. Along with some hunting and fishing they were much dependant on the growing of corn, beans, and squash. The most popular point types I make from this period are Cahokia, Scallorn, and other small side and corner notch types.
