This California Archaic type point is what I got out of a piece of rather poor dacite that was a bit grainy and hard to pattern flake, but I did get it chipped clean! Note, dacite is basically obsidian that cooled slower and started to form crystals, rather than cool fast and be more glass-like. Size, 3 1/4 inches. Price, $15.
