26-167 LARGE REMEDELLO POINT made from heat treated Flint River, GA, Coastal Plain chert. This pointed-stem type was very popular in northern Italy and was in use for a very long time between the late Neolithic and the Copper age. The famous Ice Man was killed with an arrow tipped with one of these points, and his flint knife had a blade of the same design. This piece is large enough for a small knife blade. I like using the FR flint as a stand in for some of the honey colored European varieties. This point has great color on show face!
